3/15/26 Update: Our Solidarity is Unbreakable!

NTA’s commitment to our students, educators, and the entire Natomas community is why we are holding the line in this strike. Our primary goal is to reach a fair agreement that reflects the value of our educators and ensures the long-term stability and success of our schools. Throughout this strike, NTA has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to good-faith negotiations, consistently seeking common ground and proposing creative solutions to resolve the crisis that pushes too many amazing educators out of our schools.
BARGAINING TEAM MAKES SUSTAINABLE HEALTHCARE PROPOSAL TO RESOLVE THE RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION CRISIS
In an effort to end the strike and address the district’s recruitment and retention challenges, NTA has made a proposal to resolve the healthcare affordability crisis and reach a fair agreement.
The responsibility to finalize an agreement and get students back to school now rests with NUSD leadership. It is time for NUSD to respect the needs of our community and join us in signing a fair contract that brings our educators and students back to their classrooms. Unlike many districts facing decline, NUSD is in a uniquely strong position to settle this fairly: with growing student enrollment and an increasing population of high-needs students – which brings significant additional state funding to the district – NUSD has the resources and the positive financial outlook necessary to invest in the educators who make our schools successful.
Our team is still at the table and committed to working as long as it takes to reach a fair agreement. If NUSD fails to do the right thing today, we will continue to HOLD THE LINE on Monday.
We will share more updates as bargaining progresses. Stay Tuned!
